Monday 18th March 2019 was the Middlesbrough Circles Bill Ripley's Best Trick Prize Night '23'. 8 competitors took part and the standard was extremely high.

Eamonn McClurey performed a card stab effect using a freely selected card, an envelope and a large nail.
Sheila McTiernan performed a three card, find the lady effect where the Queen changed into a photo of herself.
Tom Daws performed an ambitious card routine including card to mouth and a split card finale.
James Baker performed the classic linking rings effect with an Audi and Disney related display of the rings.
Brian Lesko performed a comedic pea and shells game routine.
Terry Leathley performed a psychic touch routine.
Steve Lewis performed torn and restored Pixie's tissue paper effect.
Gary Bainbridge performed a card prediction effect where the chosen card disappeared from the deck and the prediction pad and reappeared in the card case.

The eventual winner was Eamonn McClurey who picked up the £25 prize along with the 'Top Hat' Trophy.
